Road Closures and Bus Diversions

Road closures will be in effect from 9pm until midnight to allow safe crowd dispersal. Affected roads include Castle Street, Duke Street, Kingsway, and Cowbridge Road East (from Cathedral Road to Westgate Street). Bus services will be diverted: Service 9 (towards Sports Village) will follow its normal route to Newport Road/Dumfries Place, then via Station Terrace, lower Churchill Way, Bute Terrace, Customhouse Street, and Wood Street. On Fridays and Saturdays, lower St. Mary Street is closed, so buses use Bute Terrace, and they will not serve Wood Street, Tudor Street, or Clare Road. Journeys to UHW Heath Hospital are unaffected. Services 21, 23, and 27 will start and end at Greyfriars Road, stop GL near the New Theatre, meaning stops at Cardiff Bus Interchange and Westgate Street to Kingsway will not be served. Routes 11, 28, 44/45, 49/50, 52, and 57/58 will operate via Station Terrace, lower Churchill Way, Bute Terrace, and Customhouse Street from 9pm; on Fridays and Saturdays they start from their usual evening point.
