Kyle Richards Opens Up: 'Gender Doesn't Matter' in Future Love After Split
Kyle Richards on Love Life: 'Gender Doesn't Matter'

Reality television star Kyle Richards has offered a remarkably candid insight into her personal life during the latest episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, addressing speculation about her romantic interests and future.

Love and Self-Discovery Post-Separation

The 56-year-old mother-of-four, who separated from her husband of 27 years, Mauricio Umansky, in 2023, clarified her current stance on relationships. Richards stated she is not actively seeking a new partner. However, in a significant revelation, she explained that a prospective partner's gender is not a defining factor for her.

"Why don't you ask what you really want to ask," she teased co-star Bozoma Saint John during a matchmaking segment on Thursday's episode. "I don't know, I could go Brad or I could go Angelina." Richards attributed this perspective to significant personal growth in recent years, noting she has "learned a lot about" herself.

Addressing Rumours and a 'Soul Connection'

The former child star directly addressed persistent rumours of a romance with 31-year-old country singer Morgan Wade. While not confirming a relationship, she described a profound bond. "I think it’s like... a soul connection," Richards explained. She contrasted this with her past attractions, which she said were typically for "tall, dark and handsome" men.

Richards confirmed she has experienced love since her marital separation. "Yeah, I have loved somebody. I did, but now I'm on my own again," she admitted, choosing not to name the individual. When questioned if the breakup was her decision, she called the situation "complicated" and answered, "No, it's not."

Navigating Life After a 27-Year Marriage

Richards expressed fears about being "alone" following the end of her long marriage but also celebrated rediscovering herself. "To find someone that you have a lot in common with and you can laugh with and have fun was exciting for me," she shared. "I proved to myself I actually can meet someone after a marriage of so many years."

She also confessed to anxiety about how her family and the public would perceive her moving on. "I felt nervous about, if I go out with somebody, what is Mo going to think about that, what are the girls going to think about that, what is the public going to think about that?"

Despite the sadness of her past relationship ending, Richards struck a note of gratitude for the journey. "I've gone through so much in these past few years and it really has changed my perspective on life," she asserted. "You get lost in being a wife, a mother, you can kind of forget about who you are and I learned a lot about myself in that time."

Richards and Umansky share three daughters: Alexia, 29, Sophia, 25, and Portia, 17. She also has an older daughter, Farrah, 37, from her previous marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.
