Lorna Luxe Considers Motherhood After Husband's Tragic Death from Cancer
Lorna Luxe Explores Motherhood After Husband's Cancer Death

Social media influencer Lorna Luxe has publicly revealed for the first time that she is now considering the possibility of having children, following the heartbreaking death of her husband John Andrews earlier this year. The 43-year-old, who married Andrews in a lavish ceremony back in 2009 when she was just 26, lost her spouse to cancer in February at the age of 64.

Exploring Motherhood After Loss

In her first interview since becoming a widow, Lorna Luxe opened up about exploring motherhood, a topic that had been put on hold during her marriage. The couple had attempted to conceive early in their relationship but were unsuccessful, after which Lorna focused primarily on her burgeoning career as an influencer.

Speaking candidly to The Times, Lorna reflected on recent conversations about fertility. "Over the past couple of years I'd say, 'Do you think we should have done something about that? Shall we go and get me checked out?'" she shared. "But then John got ill... I don't dwell on what might have been, but just recently I was asking the guy who does my Botox if I should freeze my eggs. I've always been part of a partnership now I've got these big decisions to make alone."

Navigating Life as a Widow

Since John's passing, Lorna has been navigating significant life changes while maintaining her social media presence. She has expressed gratitude to fans who have flooded her with messages of support, describing them as "real comfort" during this difficult period.

One of the major decisions she has faced was moving out of the couple's home in Moreton Paddox last year while renovations were underway. She has since relocated to a temporary residence with her dog, documenting the experience on Instagram.

"I've whacked all my stuff in storage so it's a bit disorientating," she wrote about the move. "We moved in with a suitcase of clothes, a corkscrew and a kettle... I hadn't anticipated having to move out of our last place so this has all been a bit stressful but you know what, John would be so proud that I pulled it off."

Overseeing Home Renovations

Lorna has been actively involved in overseeing the renovations of what she calls "Ghost House," the home she once shared with John. She recently attended a quarterly site progress meeting with contractors, describing the experience as "very bittersweet."

"I'm having to be John today and head to Ghost House in a bit for the quarterly site progress meeting," she penned in an emotional post. "All the contractors working the site are going to walk me through their plans, and then I get to share anything I want changing. We were both so excited to get back to there."

The renovations have extended beyond the original timeframe, with completion now expected in August. "It's meant to be six months, so massively over the time frame, but I think I'm going to get a house back that I'm really happy with," she explained. "And yeah, be really nice to be home. I'm really missing it now."

Return to Social Media

After taking a break from social media to grieve following John's death, Lorna returned to Instagram in February to reconnect with her followers. "I'm checking in. I've been quiet on here but I promise I'm reading your messages and comments daily," she wrote at the time. "They're real comfort. Thank you for being so kind and taking time to message me, it means more than you will ever know."

The influencer had previously informed fans she would be taking a social media hiatus but assured them she would still be reading their heartfelt messages during her period of mourning.
