Former Eternal singer Louise Redknapp and her businessman boyfriend Drew Michael embraced the festive spirit with a romantic date night at London's iconic Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. The couple, who have been dating since October 2023, were spotted enjoying the attractions on Christmas Eve, looking every bit the loved-up pair.
A Night of Festive Fun and Thrills
The 51-year-old star and her 41-year-old partner were in high spirits as they explored the Christmas market and theme park. Not shying away from the excitement, Louise bravely tackled several of the faster rides, including a rollercoaster, where she was seen screaming with delight. Her partner Drew, however, preferred to keep his feet on the ground, steering clear of the thrill-seeking attractions.
For their winter outing, Louise wrapped up warm in a stylish yet practical ensemble. She wore a black puffer coat with a hood and baggy black trousers, teaming the look with chunky black zip-up boots. Her short blonde hair was left to fall freely, and she accessorised with a black quilted Yves Saint Laurent bag.
Drew opted for a casual but cool look in a black bomber jacket and matching skinny jeans. He was later pictured donning an orange safety helmet as staff briefed him before he tried out the park's real ice slide, which he navigated in an inflatable ring.
Looking to the Future: Love After Divorce
The festive date comes after Louise has spoken candidly about her new relationship, which blossomed following her split from ex-husband Jamie Redknapp in 2017 after 19 years of marriage. The former couple share two sons: Charlie, 20, and William, 16.
In an interview with The Sun in July, Louise gushed about her partner, Drew. "Drew's great. We're having a lovely time together," she said. "It took me a long time to get to that place and be open about anything. I was very guarded and scared. But I'm really enjoying having special times with someone. He's a great guy and super-kind."
When asked about the possibility of wedding bells, the singer was pragmatic. "Oh, I'm not even thinking that far ahead. I'm not even going there," she stated. "I just want to be proud of this, and I want to really enjoy it. I've met a really great guy, and I'm really happy. But you never know what the future holds."
She also revealed that her two sons get on very well with Drew, which has made blending their lives much smoother.
Defying Critics and Embracing a New Chapter
Louise has also addressed criticism regarding the nine-year age gap between her and her younger boyfriend. She dismissed being branded a 'cougar', saying it is "water off a duck's back" to her and that "age is irrelevant" as she doesn't feel older than him.
The star has recently focused on her music career, releasing a new album titled 'Confessions'. She has been determined to make "progressive music" rather than relying on nostalgia. This new direction even included featuring what she described as "sex noises" in her recent single 'Get Into It', a creative choice she fully stands by despite queries from friends.
Reflecting on the intense scrutiny following her divorce, where she felt painted as the "villain", Louise told the Independent: "I'd been lucky in my career because, for many years, I didn't really have a lot of scrutiny. Then bang, everybody's got an opinion." She described it as a difficult period where she felt there was no right way to defend herself.
Now, with a supportive partner by her side and a fresh outlook on both her personal and professional life, Louise Redknapp appears to be thoroughly enjoying this festive season and the new chapter it represents.
