Mariah Carey Shares Rare Festive Photo with 14-Year-Old Twins in Heartwarming Christmas Snap
Mariah Carey's rare Christmas photo with teenage twins

Music icon Mariah Carey delighted fans by sharing a rare and festive family photograph on Instagram, featuring her teenage twins as they celebrated Christmas together. The 56-year-old singer, who recently enjoyed a winter getaway to Aspen, posted the heartwarming snap on Friday, offering a glimpse into her holiday celebrations with her 14-year-old children, Monroe and Moroccan.

A Festive Family Portrait

In the uploaded image, Carey looked glamorous in a figure-hugging, long-sleeved red dress that shimmered for the occasion. She accessorised with black tights, chic heels, and a delicate silver necklace, keeping her accessories minimal. Her voluminous curls were parted in the middle and flowed past her shoulders, complemented by warm blush and nude glossy lip makeup.

Her twins, Monroe and Moroccan, stood on either side of their famous mother in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Notably, both teenagers are now the same height as Carey, who is believed to be between 5'7" and 5'9" tall. The siblings embraced the festive spirit in matching sweaters emblazoned with the title of their mother's iconic hit, 'All I Want For Christmas Is You', alongside an embroidered image of Carey herself. They completed their outfits with loose-fitting denim jeans.

Christmas Eve Celebrations and Co-Parenting Dynamics

The star also gave fans a further look at her family's Christmas Eve in a separate Instagram carousel. One photo showed Carey wrapped in a long, white fuzzy coat as she posed excitedly with Santa Claus outside. Another captured a cozy moment on a couch, with the singer and her twins in pajamas alongside Kris Kringle. A final snap featured the trio outside again with Santa, where Carey beamed with a smile next to a reindeer.

Carey shares her twins with ex-husband Nick Cannon. The former couple were married from 2008 until their divorce was finalised in 2016. Earlier this month, Monroe and Moroccan also spent time with their father and his other children, getting into the festive spirit. This followed a rare comment from Monroe in November, where she clarified on her Instagram Stories, "I only have ONE brother who is @moroccan.cannon. I do have other half-siblings from my dad but they are all many, many years younger than me!"

Looking Ahead to a Busy New Year

In a July interview with Harper's Bazaar, Carey offered rare insight into her co-parenting relationship, stating she aims to ensure her children have a good time with both parents. Meanwhile, the songstress has a significant performance on the horizon. She is set to perform during the 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony on February 6 in Milan-Cortina.

These holiday posts are a special treat for fans, as the singer only occasionally shares photos featuring her children. The twins were last seen on her main Instagram feed in October, celebrating Halloween together in Japan.
