Meghan Markle has been described as 'fighting all corners' as royal expert Ingrid Seward warns she must project a perfect image during her upcoming UK visit. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, is set to return to Britain next month alongside Prince Harry and their children for the one-year countdown event of the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham on July 10.
Expert warns of brand challenges
Speaking to New Magazine, Ms Seward said Meghan 'needs to visit the UK' and that 'coming here and facing that will be a challenge'. She added: 'She knows she's under fire and the under fire image isn't good for her brand. She's fighting in all corners so she needs to project a perfect image in order to keep building her brand and business.'
The royal, who launched her lifestyle brand As Ever last year, has seen her popularity decline further since stepping down from royal duties in 2020. Ms Seward emphasised: 'They need to come, or more accurately, Meghan needs to come. She really needs a bit of royal stardust sprinkled on her and her business if she wants it to succeed.'
Royal residence and security concerns
Following the confirmation of their visit, royal fans speculated where the family might stay. Reports suggest King Charles III has offered a royal residence to his youngest son, though it remains unclear if the Sussexes have accepted. Security arrangements, including police protection, are also yet to be confirmed.
Meghan has not travelled to the UK since September 2022, when she and Harry attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. The Invictus Games countdown event coincides with Prince William's annual polo event in Windsor on the same day.
