Miley Cyrus has fuelled fresh speculation about her relationship with Maxx Morando after appearing at the Los Angeles premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash wearing a diamond ring on her left hand.
The singer, 33, and Morando, 27, made a rare red carpet appearance on Monday, where the ring—a sizeable diamond set in a thick gold band—drew immediate attention. The piece was first glimpsed in photos Cyrus shared from her birthday celebrations last week, and she gave it further prominence by keeping her other jewellery minimal.
Cyrus wore a black strapless gown with a sequinned bodice and dramatic ruffled skirt, while Morando, a drummer and songwriter for the band Liily, opted for a classic black tuxedo. The singer has not commented on the speculation, and neither has confirmed any change in their relationship status.
The couple have been together since 2021, having met on what Cyrus described as a “blind date”. She told British Vogue in 2023: “Well, it was blind for me and not really for him. I thought, 'The worst that can happen is I leave.'” They have largely kept their relationship private, though Cyrus has occasionally spoken about their dynamic, telling Harper’s Bazaar last November: “He’s very similar to me. We just don’t take life too seriously.”
Cyrus has also reflected on past relationships, including her marriage to actor Liam Hemsworth, which ended in 2019, and her previous relationship with singer Cody Simpson.
