Model Brooks Nader found herself in a deeply awkward situation during a live television appearance, when she was confronted about her past romantic link to American football legend Tom Brady.
An Uncomfortable Line of Questioning
The 28-year-old Sports Illustrated model and former Dancing With The Stars contestant was a guest on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live on Thursday evening. She appeared alongside reality star Erika Jayne, and host Cohen quickly pointed out the pair had something in common. 'You've both dated guys named Tom...' Cohen noted.
Jayne, seemingly unaware of Nader's history, turned to her fellow guest and asked, 'Wait! Which Tom did you date?' A visibly flustered Nader tried to deflect, exclaiming 'Andy!' in frustration at the host for raising the topic. Cohen, however, doubled down, yelling 'Brady! Brady!' to confirm the identity of Nader's former flame.
'Newscaster' vs. 'Jail'
Attempting to diffuse the tension with humour, Nader compared their situations. 'Well, one's a newscaster, one's in jail. So everything's fine!' she stated. Cohen was quick to pounce on her description, retorting, 'Did you just describe yours as a newscaster?!' Nader could only laugh awkwardly as the conversation moved on.
Her remark referenced Brady's post-retirement career move; the seven-time Super Bowl champion signed a 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox Sports to become their lead NFL analyst. Jayne's estranged husband, Tom Girardi, is currently serving a seven-year prison sentence for fraud, hence Nader's 'jail' comment.
The Brief Brady Romance and Dance Floor Fling
Nader and Brady were first romantically linked last year after being spotted together at several high-profile events, including a Miami Formula 1 party and Michael Rubin's annual Fourth of July 'White Party'. Their rumoured casual dating fizzled out when Nader joined Dancing With The Stars in the autumn of 2024.
It was on the dance competition that she struck up a relationship with her professional partner, Gleb Savchenko. The pair dated for approximately seven months before splitting this past spring. In the same interview with Cohen, Nader made candid revelations about their relationship, admitting they slept together on the very first day they met.
'I felt as though there was so much sexual tension on the first day we met that it would just get worse and worse, and I just wanted to see what we’re working with,' she joked. She later added flippantly, 'Don’t marry the dancer, but f*** the dancer.'
The episode provided a rare and uncomfortable glimpse into the model's private dating life, showcasing the perils of live television for guests in the celebrity spotlight.
