Kim Kardashian was left stunned during an Instagram Live session with her daughter North West when the nine-year-old asked viewers for money. North, who posts from the account @kimandnorth on TikTok, which is 'managed by an adult,' has 20.7 million followers on TikTok and around 1.8 million on Instagram.
During the live stream, Kim stayed off-camera, wiggling her fingers to show her presence. North, whose father is Kanye West, urged her mother to appear, saying, 'You should just show your face, because ... I don't know. I want some money!' A shocked Kim replied, 'What? No, we don't ask — no, no, no.'
Kim then asked North what she meant, and North explained, 'Because, TikTok Live, like...' Kim corrected her, noting that they were on Instagram, not TikTok, and said, 'This isn't TikTok Live, this is Instagram. So you were, like, kind of messed up for a second.' TikTok allows viewers to send virtual gifts to creators, which can be converted into earnings.
Meanwhile, Kim is rumoured to be dating Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton. The pair reportedly enjoyed a romantic dinner and couples' massage at Estelle Manor, with Kim flying in from Los Angeles on her £100m private jet and Lewis arriving an hour later by helicopter from London's Battersea Heliport. A source told The Sun, 'It all appeared to be very romantic.'
Kim and Lewis have been friends for years and were previously pictured together at GQ's 2014 Men of the Year Awards with their then-partners, Kanye West and Nicole Scherzinger. Kanye once invited Lewis to spend Easter with the family, saying, 'Lewis Hamilton's over at my house and we're playing some music in my studio.'
