While the ceremony for the swimmer and the daughter of famed chef Gordon Ramsay is expected to last only around 90 minutes, the all-day reservation prevents any other couples from tying the knot there.
This decision has been branded as "selfish" by critics. One source told The Sun: "It seems rather selfish to be hiring the abbey for the whole day when your wedding service only lasts for an hour and a half or so." Tourists visiting the historic city will also be barred, with the official Bath Abbey website stating it is "closed for visiting" on December 27.

The lavish event, with guests including the Beckhams, unfolds against the backdrop of an ongoing family rift. It is understood that Adam's sister, Bethany, will be the only member from the Peaty family side in attendance.
His mother, Caroline Peaty, who was uninvited, had initially planned to gatecrash but has reportedly decided against it, saying it would be "too upsetting." In a heartfelt plea to her 30-year-old son, she said: "I know it’s the end. But please... no matter what happens in the future, please know I love you, your dad loves you, you can come home and talk to me at any point."
