Penny Lancaster proved she still has the moves, sharing a joyful video of herself dancing the night away with close friends at a lavish event she dubbed a 'night to remember'.
A Dazzling Display on the Dancefloor
The 54-year-old model and television personality, married to rock legend Rod Stewart, looked utterly carefree in a white satin cold-shoulder minidress. The footage, posted to her Instagram, showed Penny and her girlfriends performing a perfectly synchronised routine under the glow of a sparkling disco ball.
Clearly having the time of her life, Penny kicked off her shoes and beamed with happiness as she kicked her legs in the air and clapped in time to the music. She captioned the playful clip: '"Secret circle" shoes off, night to remember'. While the exact song they danced to is unknown, Penny layered the classic track 'Ain't Nobody' over the video.
Preparing for a Stewart Family Christmas
The fun-filled evening comes as Penny prepares for a bustling family Christmas. She recently revealed exciting plans for the festive season, which will see her step into the role of 'Grandma' for Rod's American grandchildren.
Speaking at a Santa Paws Christmas party in London's Chelsea, Penny shared that two of Rod's older children are travelling from the US to spend the holiday in the UK. They will be bringing three young children with them.
'I'm very, very excited because Grandma is coming into play here,' she told Hello! magazine. 'We have two of Rod's older children from America coming over to spend the whole Christmas with us, with their little ones. So we've got two two-year-olds and a nine-month-old, and I cannot wait.'
Based on their ages, it is believed the visitors will include Rod's son Liam, 31, and his wife Nicole with their children Louie, two, and nine-month-old Elsie, as well as his daughter Ruby, 38, and her fiancé Jake Kalic with their son Otis, two.
A Love Story for the Ages
Penny and Rod, who have been married for 18 years and share two sons—Alastair, 20, and Aiden, 14—recently recounted their emotional love story in a BBC festive special. The couple first met in 1999 when Penny was a student and Rod was performing.
Their romance began after a nine-month delay, orchestrated by Rod's thoughtful band leader, Carmine Appice. Carmine withheld Penny's phone number from Rod, who had just gone through a divorce, believing he wasn't ready. 'He said I will give it to you when I think you are ready,' Rod recalled, joking he should have been fired for the interference.
Penny became emotional retelling the story, noting she had thought she would never hear from the musician again. Once Rod was ready, he called, and Penny was welcomed into his large, blended family. Rod is father to eight children from previous relationships.
As the festive season approaches, the Stewart-Lancaster household is set to be full of joy, dance, and the pitter-patter of tiny feet, marking a special 'grandma' Christmas for Penny.
