Prince Harry Torn to Shreds on GB News Over UK Visit Security Row
Prince Harry Slammed on GB News Over UK Security Row

Prince Harry has been sharply criticised on GB News after reports emerged that he is reconsidering his plan to bring his wife Meghan Markle and their two children to the UK next month. The Duke of Sussex, 41, is scheduled to travel to the UK for the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games, and had originally intended for Meghan, Prince Archie (seven), and Princess Lilibet (five) to accompany him.

Security Request Rejected

According to reports, Harry and his family were refused taxpayer-funded police protection during their stay. As a result, the Duke is now considering leaving his family in California. The development has sparked a strong reaction from GB News presenter Nana Akua, who launched a scathing attack on the Duke during her show.

Akua accused Harry of “throwing his toys out of the pram” and called him a “spoilt brat.” She stated: “The spoilt brat, the Duke of Sussex, may well throw his toys out of the pram once again. After announcing his visit to the UK, the prince later learned that his family will not receive police protection during what was intended to be an Invictus Games related five-day visit.”

Criticism Over Security and Memoir

Akua argued that Harry had compromised his own security by revealing intimate details in his 2023 memoir Spare, including his kill count in Afghanistan. She claimed he is using his children as a bargaining chip to demand the highest level of protection, known as Ravec, which is typically reserved for working royals.

“After compromising his own security and that of his family in his book Spare, when he revealed his kill count in Afghanistan and whinged about how terrible it is to be the son of the King, Prince Harry has been on what I would describe as a crusade to destroy the British press who it appears he blames for the death of his mother,” Akua said.

She added that Harry has taken both the press and the Home Office to court and used “emotional blackmail” by involving his children. According to Akua, if the visit goes ahead, Harry and Meghan will only receive taxpayer-funded security while inside a royal property.

Desire to See King Charles

Harry is reportedly “desperate” for Archie and Lilibet to see their grandfather, King Charles, whom they last saw four years ago. However, Akua dismissed this, suggesting Harry should apply for protection solely for the purpose of taking his children to see the King, rather than for other promotional activities.

“I'm sorry, but I'm not buying that. Here's a thought, Harry. Why don't you apply for protection for the visit for you and your family with the sole purpose of taking your children to see the King, not while you swan around promoting other stuff. It's not that difficult!” Akua concluded.
