Rav Wilding, the familiar face of BBC's Crimewatch Live and Morning Live, has parted ways with his co-star Rebecca Mason. The couple, who began dating after Wilding's separation from his wife Jill Morgan in 2024, have now gone their separate ways, according to reports.
Rav Wilding's Broadcasting Career
Wilding, 48, has been a staple on British television for over two decades. His career began not in front of the camera but in the British Army, followed by a stint as a security guard at Harrods in London. He then joined the police force, serving with the British Transport Police and the Metropolitan Police. His policing career led to television when he started presenting on Crimewatch in 2004, while still an officer. He left the force in February 2008 to focus on TV full-time.
Beyond Crimewatch Live (originally Crimewatch Roadshow), Wilding has appeared on The One Show, Helicopter Heroes, Frontline Fightback, and Scam Interceptors. In 2009, he competed on Strictly Come Dancing with professional dancer Aliona Vilani, but was the third contestant voted out. He also participated in celebrity editions of The Weakest Link, Ready Steady Cook, and Celebrity Mastermind. In 2010, he filmed a documentary series for the BBC in Afghanistan, Remembrance Week, where he witnessed a bomb explosion that killed a soldier.
Wilding is now a regular on Morning Live alongside Helen Skelton. He has publicly shared that he is dyslexic and dyspraxic.
High-Profile Romances
Wilding's personal life has seen several notable relationships. In 2010, he dated Chantelle Houghton, winner of Celebrity Big Brother in 2006. The pair split a year later after a public falling-out. According to a friend quoted in the Mirror, Wilding felt he was "stitched up" and that Houghton was not interested in him long-term. The friend said: "Rav thought Chantelle could be a long-term love, but now he realises she wasn't interested in him. Every time they went jogging or out on dates, there seemed to be photographers or stories in the media. He was being set up and is upset that he fell for it and got involved."
In 2012, Wilding began a relationship with celebrity producer Jill Morgan. They married in Barbados in 2017 and have a young daughter. However, the marriage ended in 2024. Wilding confirmed the split in a brief statement: "For those asking questions myself and Jill amicably separated last year. Our focus is co-parenting our hugely loved and beautiful daughter."
Following his separation, Wilding started dating his Morning Live colleague Rebecca Mason, a police detective specializing in online romance fraud and scams who appears on the show to offer advice. The couple have now reportedly split, adding another chapter to Wilding's eventful love life.
