Rihanna delivered more fashion inspiration for budding style icons as she stepped out in the city that never sleeps. Sunglasses over her eyes, the star, 38, exuded cool as she emerged early Sunday morning in a grey collared sweatshirt, biker shorts, and white trainers.
While a seemingly casual outfit to the untrained eye, a Miu Miu hat and collection of chunky gold rings elevated the sporty outlook into something much more glamorous. Quilted purse slung over her shoulder, Rihanna kept her hands free save for a bottle of Gatorade she carried about.
The outing comes a week after Rihanna marked a special milestone - her first Mother's Day as a mom of three. Rihanna and her partner A$AP Rocky certainly have their hands full with three children under the age of five.
The couple share son RZA - who recently turned four - in addition to son Riot Rose, two, and daughter Rocki Irish Mayers, eight months. The singer's role as a mother was a hot topic earlier this month as she unveiled an incredibly unique tribute to her children in the form of a tattoo.
She unveiled a fresh new inking at the Met Gala - comprising scribbles drawn by her three children featured on the back of her knee. Celebrity tattoo artist Keith Scott 'Bang Bang' McCurdy documented the session with the A-lister on Instagram.
The 40-year-old New York based artist even showed off the inspiration for the piece as Rihanna's children's scribbles were on a piece of paper with stickers from Nickelodeon animated series Paw Patrol on it. Rihanna seemed pleased with her thoughtful tattoo as she could be seen taking a good look at it in a mirror while rocking a pair of tiny black shorts.
No doubt motherhood is very important to the megastar as she got emotional about it, gushing over her growing children during an interview with Extra back in December. She told Extra: 'The babies are amazing. They're all getting bigger, and I cannot take it. My sons - oh, my God! - their faces are changing. Their necks are getting longer. I love it.'
And Rocky said their children are as 'cute as ever', while RZA and Riot are 'getting along' better than he expected. The rapper said: 'I'm surprised that the older two getting along as much as they are, you know? Usually, you know, for them to be so close in age, they fight a lot, but... happy family.'
While he admitted their older sons occasionally get 'a little jealous' of their newborn sister, he made it clear there's nothing but love in the household. In 2023, Rihanna told Vogue her longtime partner, Rocky, is her 'best friend' and described motherhood as 'everything'.
Rihanna said her first few months as a mother were a rollercoaster and described giving birth as a 'head-f**k', saying she couldn't believe she entered the hospital pregnant and left with a baby. The singer admitted that having a child has also made her re-evaluate as she described raising her son as one of the 'scariest' responsibilities ever in her life.
She said: 'Raising a young Black man is one of the scariest responsibilities in life [...] You're like, "What am I leaving my kids to? This is the planet they're gonna be living on?"' Despite the challenges of motherhood, Rihanna insisted it has only brought her and her partner Rocky closer as she said they are 'best friends with a baby'.
'Everything changes when you have a baby but I wouldn't say it's done anything but made us closer,' she added. She also gushed over Rocky's relationship with their son, saying their baby boy needs validation from his father as she described their close bond.
Just nine months after giving birth to her first child, Rihanna revealed her second pregnancy by debuting her baby bump during her much-anticipated halftime Super Bowl in 2023.
