Ruth Langsford has continued to make a defiant statement about her marriage with Eamonn Holmes following their shock split 14 years after they tied the knot. The Loose Women star has been seen still sporting her engagement and wedding rings, refusing to remove them despite the impending divorce.
Last month, GB News host Eamonn, 64, and wife Ruth, also 64, announced they were heading for the divorce courts. Eamonn has kept quiet about the split, but behind the scenes, he is said to be seeking comfort from mum-of-three Katie Alexander, 42. Katie has reportedly visited the father-of-four at his new rented apartment in South West London over the last two weekends.
Ruth is said to have been 'devastated' and 'angry' after reportedly finding messages between her husband and a mystery woman on his laptop. A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Ruth was completely taken by surprise when she saw the messages. She had no idea what had been going on between them.”
Despite the turmoil, Ruth has been putting on a brave face. On Thursday night, she enjoyed a night out at Giovanni Pernice and Anton du Beke's London stage show, Together. She shared a photo on Instagram, writing: "Great night watching Giovanni and Anton. Go and see it if you can."
Meanwhile, a source close to Katie Alexander said: "She is helping Eamonn through the tough times but doesn't want to be seen as a marriage wrecker. The friendship has grown in recent months but Eamonn's marriage has been over for some time."
