BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent has been sharing glimpses of her sun-soaked holidays with fans as the UK heatwave continues. Known for keeping her personal life private, the star has posted a series of bikini looks on Instagram, ranging from teeny string styles to crochet cover-ups.
Beauty Secrets Behind the Look
Nugent's hair and make-up artist Gráinne Frawley revealed some of the techniques behind the presenter's signature style in an interview with The Telegraph. Frawley explained that Nugent's hair rotates between a GHD wave, nicknamed 'The French' for its effortless casual look, and a fuller, nineties Cindy Crawford-inspired bouncy wave. Her highlights are done by colourist Calum Tierney, who has also worked with Michelle Keegan.
For make-up, Frawley emphasised function: 'Because Sally is a news presenter, our focus is always function first. The make-up has to look flawless under the studio lights and need very little touching up while she's on air.'
Holiday Style: Bikinis and Beyond
In one snap, Nugent wore a teeny string bikini underneath a blue-and-white striped pyjama set as she jetted off for another holiday. Another image showed her in a white crochet gown over a black two-piece bikini while sipping cocktails with friends. She also shared a close-up selfie of the ensemble. A poolside photo captured her in a white bikini top paired with cream shorts.
Nugent's holiday posts come as much of the UK experiences a heatwave, with temperatures soaring across the country. The BBC Breakfast star, who typically presents the early morning news programme, has been taking time off to enjoy the sun.
