Simon Cowell has a new neighbour – his former girlfriend Jackie St Clair has bought a property that backs onto his Cotswolds mansion. The music mogul, now engaged to Lauren Silverman, dated the ex-Page Three model more than 40 years ago.
A local source said: “Jackie has snapped up a place that backs on to Simon’s. If Simon looks out of his kitchen window he can see Jackie, and vice versa. She’s married well and her house is larger than his so there’s definitely some one-upmanship going on.”
The 66-year-old Britain’s Got Talent judge and Jackie shared a whirlwind romance in the 1970s and remained friends after splitting, even holidaying together. This is not the first time the exes have lived close by; they previously owned homes in London’s Holland Park that were a stone’s throw apart.
Jackie’s move may cause tension, as she was reportedly involved in a feud with Simon’s close friend and former partner Sinitta. In 2010, Sinitta accused Jackie of “evil lying” over gossip about Simon’s engagement to Mezhgan Hussainy. The situation flared up again in 2023 when Sinitta was turned away from a party at Jackie’s house because her dog was not welcome.
Simon moved to the Cotswolds in 2021, joining celebrities like the Beckhams and Ellen DeGeneres. He recently submitted plans to build a 793sq ft party barn in the grounds of his Grade-II listed home.
