Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash hosted an extravagant pool party to celebrate their son Rex's seventh birthday, transforming their Essex home, Pickle Cottage, into a summer paradise. The 36-year-old former singer shared a series of photos on Instagram on Sunday, showcasing the pool filled with inflatables shaped like fruits, unicorns, and flamingos.
Elaborate Decorations and Family Fun
Stacey spared no expense with the decorations, filling the garden area with foil balloons and a plastic mirrored photo backdrop. Rex, along with his siblings Rose, four, and Belle, three, appeared overjoyed as they splashed around in the pool. However, Stacey's eldest children, Zachary, 18, and Leighton, 14, from her previous relationship with ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham, were not seen in the photos.
The birthday boy shared his special day with his friend Mila, who was celebrating her eleventh birthday. In a heartfelt tribute, Stacey wrote in the caption: 'I cannot believe you're 7, Rex. Where did that time go? 7 wonderful years of you. Mila you're such a special lady. 11 oh my goodness, 11 going on 25. TO THE MOON AND BACK Mila & Rexy.'
Fan Reactions and Family Dynamics
Fans quickly flooded the comments with praise. One wrote: 'Looks amazing. Family is everything and your relationship with your sister is awesome. Love you guys, so real.' Another added: 'Happy birthday, Rex and Mila. By the looks of it they have the most incredible day surrounded by the best people. For me this is what family is all about. You guys are the best.'
Recently, Stacey and Joe's marriage has been a topic of discussion after it emerged they have yet to formally register their union. Just hours after the revelation, Stacey was photographed wearing her engagement ring but no wedding band. A source told Daily Mail: 'They have six kids. If you look back at when they actually got married, it was just like a whirlwind, baby after baby. They just haven’t got round to it yet.'
Behind the Scenes of Their Reality Show
The party came after filming for their family reality TV show was paused, with claims of tensions at home affecting the schedule. The Daily Mail reported that crew were booked in December to start filming, but difficulties behind the cameras arose. An insider revealed 'there have been problems between Stacey and Joe.' Filming resumed late last month, and Stacey was spotted shooting scenes for Stacey & Joe at Scotts Tulip Farm in Brentwood, near their £1.2 million home.
The BBC has greenlit a third season, which will continue to follow the couple's blended family in their daily lives at Pickle Cottage.
