Former TV personality Stephen Bear has been released from prison after serving 10-and-a-half months of a 21-month sentence. Bear, 34, from Loughton, Essex, was convicted in 2022 for sharing a sex tape of his ex-partner Georgia Harrison without her consent.
He was found guilty of voyeurism and disclosing private sexual photographs and films. The court heard that CCTV footage of Bear and Harrison having sex in his garden in August 2020 was uploaded to OnlyFans, from which Bear profited financially.
Bear left HMP Brixton on Wednesday carrying two black holdall bags. He must sign the sex offenders register and comply with notification requirements for 10 years. As part of his licence conditions, he faces restrictions on travel and contact.
Georgia Harrison, who waived her anonymity, has become a campaigner against revenge porn. She is currently appearing on ITV's Love Island All Stars and described the show as a welcome break after fighting for justice. The government recently announced tougher sentences for sharing intimate images online, with Harrison's support.
A Ministry of Justice spokesman said released prisoners are closely supervised by the Probation Service and can be recalled to prison if they breach licence conditions.
