EastEnders star Tameka Empson has expressed her dismay after being voted off the BBC's Celebrity Traitors, admitting she 'mucked up' her final speech. The actress, who played a faithful, was the second contestant banished following YouTube prankster Niko Omilana.
Speaking on the aftershow The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, Empson told host Ed Gamble she was 'so gutted' and did not understand why she was chosen. 'I'm so upset... I even messed up my outro,' she said, adding she had wanted to 'cuss and carry on' and specifically call out actor Mark Bonnar, who strongly suspected her of being a traitor. 'I didn't even get time to do that, but it is what it is,' she continued.
Omilana, meanwhile, admitted he was embarrassed to be the first to go. 'I'm going to be mocked for this for a long time by my friends,' he told Gamble. Olympic diver Tom Daley, who was 'murdered' by the traitors, said he was disappointed to leave early but had enjoyed the experience. 'I went in there wanting to be a traitor, mainly because I like control,' he said. 'But then as soon as I started playing as a faithful, I loved that as well.'
In the latest episode, the traitors met to choose their next victim, singling out Ruth Codd, Charlotte Church and David Olusoga. Actor Celia Imrie also provided a memorable moment when she nervously broke wind during a tense challenge.
