Tasha Ghouri Reveals 'Mentally Tough' 2025 After Horrific Trolling
Tasha Ghouri opens up on 'horrific' trolling and mental health

Reality television star Tasha Ghouri has bravely opened up about enduring a 'mentally tough' year in 2025, during which she was subjected to what she describes as 'horrific trolling' online.

A Year of Highs and Lows

The 27-year-old, who rose to fame on Love Island in 2022 and later starred in Strictly Come Dancing, shared a reflective montage on her Instagram story. The video highlighted a year of contrasts, featuring glamorous red-carpet events, joyful moments with friends, and loved-up clips with her new boyfriend, BBC presenter Cam Whitnall.

In a candid message to her followers, Tasha wrote: '2025 was tough mentally. I had to dig out of deep places from very horrific trolling but in the end of it all I found true happiness.' She expressed a desire to move forward, stating she didn't want to dwell on the negativity. 'I don't want to talk much on it because I know people want to be sad and never be happy,' she added.

Overcoming Abuse and a Public Split

The trolling intensified following her split from fellow Love Island star Andrew Le Page, 30, in January 2025. The breakup turned acrimonious when Andrew accused Tasha of being on the celebrity dating app Raya while they were still in a relationship.

During a recent Instagram Q&A, Ghouri revealed the severe impact the online abuse had on her wellbeing. 'I've experienced a lot of horrific trolls in the past year in my messages online and it massively impacted my mental health to the point I didn't want to leave my bedroom,' she confessed emotionally.

She emphasised her resolve, writing: 'Never again am I letting them tear me apart to the point I completely lost myself and my love for what I do.'

Looking Forward to 2026 with New Love

Now, Tasha says she is entering 2026 'surrounded by love' and with renewed strength. Her romance with Cam Whitnall, which began in May, appears to be a significant source of that happiness. The couple were first spotted together publicly at a Strictly Come Dancing live show.

Cam, who co-presents CBBC's One Zoo Three and is managing director of The Big Cat Sanctuary charity, shares Tasha's passion for animals. A source close to the pair noted they 'share so much in common, from a personal and professional standpoint.'

In her hopeful New Year's message, Tasha declared: '2026 I'm entering with a whole heart, even more strength and new purposes! I'm leaving all that negativity behind and going forward with a smile on my face.' She concluded by thanking her supportive fans, promising, 'This year is going to be big!!!'
