While last Christmas saw Tom Holland propose to Zendaya in a romantic stateside moment, this festive season the engaged Hollywood couple have opted for a quintessentially British celebration. They have swapped California sunshine for London, spending the holidays with Tom's family.
A Festive Family Affair in the Capital
Despite their A-list status, Tom Holland and Zendaya have embraced a surprisingly ordinary English Christmas. Based at their home in Richmond, they have been enjoying time with the actor's father, comedian Dominic Holland, his photographer mother Nicola, and his three brothers.
The low-key festivities kicked off over the weekend with a trip to Leicester. The couple attended a performance of The Sound of Music at Leicester's Curve theatre. A spokesperson for the theatre confirmed it was the second year Tom had visited one of their shows, expressing excitement at their attendance.
Following the theatre trip, they bypassed high-end dining for a meal at an unassuming curry house. They chose the Everest Lounge in Market Harborough, much to the delight of the restaurant's staff and owner.
Star-Studded Support for Local Businesses
Owner Pradip Karanjit told the BBC his team were "absolutely starstruck" but remained professional throughout the service. He expressed his honour at welcoming the stars to the town, posting pictures on the restaurant's Instagram with the caption: "What an honour for Market Harborough!... Moments like this remind us how special our local hospitality is."
On Monday, the festive plans continued with a full family outing. Tom and Zendaya were joined by his parents, his twin brothers Sam and Harry (both 26) and their girlfriends, youngest brother Paddy (21), and friends for a day at The Traitors: Live Experience in London.
Sam Holland shared a recap on Instagram, joking about the show's deceptive nature: "My traitor twin... You can't trust anyone when you enter the round table… not even family."
Quiet Moments in Richmond Park
Amid the family activities, the couple also found time for quieter moments with their pets. They were spotted taking a stroll through Richmond Park, accompanied by two Protection Dog staff members and their beloved black miniature schnauzer, Noon.
Zendaya confirmed her engagement to Tom earlier this year, debuting her ring at the Golden Globes in January after four years of dating. The couple now live together in their £3 million home in London's Richmond.
An insider previously revealed that Tom took an "old-fashioned" approach to the proposal, seeking permission from Zendaya's family beforehand. The source added: "They are the most normal couple at home, and she is ready to spend her life with him." Their relaxed UK Christmas seems to perfectly embody that down-to-earth dynamic.
