Axed Love Island Star Tommy Murphy Fears 'Bad Blood' with Villa Ex Halle Brown
Tommy Murphy Fears 'Bad Blood' with Love Island Ex Halle Brown

Dumped Love Island star Tommy Murphy has confessed there might be tension between him and his ITV co-star Halle Brown, suggesting a real-world reunion is unlikely.

Tommy's Journey in the Villa

The builder, 28, arrived in the villa as a bombshell but rapidly forged strong connections. He initially paired up with fan favourite Ellie Chadwick, but his attention wandered during an unexpected Sleepover Villa twist. He was amongst four Islanders who were called to a separate location for a steamy slumber party with fresh bombshells, including dancer Halle Brown.

Although Halle initially set her sights on Simba Kudyiwa, she later partnered with Tommy after they shared a kiss - following his smooch with Ellie. Tommy had also faced criticism for discreetly attempting to kiss three girls within the same 24 hours.

The Dumping and Fallout

Matters turned bitter when the new pairing were voted one of the least compatible couples in the villa, alongside Chidi Ogandu and Mica Harris, reports OK!. The Islanders were then handed the authority to rescue their preferred co-star from the line-up, which left Chidi and Halle with the lowest votes and consequently booted from the villa.

Newcastle lad Tommy reckons this entire saga probably sparked some friction between him and Halle. Speaking after his own departure on Thursday (June 25), he admitted: "I think there could be a bit of bad blood between us, maybe on her behalf. I think she feels I'm responsible for her time being cut short."

Tommy believes the "bad blood" might prevent the villa exes from reconnecting in the real world. Although the choice to axe Halle rested with the Islanders, it was Tommy's handling of his former partner Ellie that had thrust them into the bottom two couples in the first place.

Tommy's Kind Words for Halle

Despite their turbulent period together, Tommy also offered kind remarks about his ITV ex. "When the girls walked in from the Sleepover, Halle was honestly one of the best girls in there, she had wicked chat," he explained. The reality star went on: "When she spoke to you, she was very close, very flirty, she had great energy. The kiss wasn't planned - I think I was eating crisps in the kitchen before! The coupling with Halle just unfolded naturally, I didn't expect it if I'm honest but once we coupled up, I gave it a really good go."

"The time was cut short, she was a really nice girl, she's a credit to herself and a really good person. I enjoyed the short time I had with Halle, I almost wish I never said the whole type thing! Yes, she wasn't my ideal type on paper, but she was very refreshing! Every conversation she had, she surprised me," Tommy concluded.

Tommy's own departure followed after Ellie and Lorenzo were handed the authority to boot out two Islanders who had been left exposed following a public vote. Love Island is streaming on ITVX.
