X Factor Star Mason Noise Transforms into Spiritual Healer

A decade after his infamous clash with Simon Cowell on The X Factor, Mason Noise has undergone a remarkable transformation, leaving his rapper persona behind to become a spiritual healer. The 32-year-old, whose real name is Mason Binnell, now describes himself as a “Musician, Reiki Healer, [and] Inner-Explorer” on Instagram.

Noise shot to fame in 2015 during the Six Chair Challenge when he criticised the time given for his audition, leading to a heated exchange with Cowell. Despite being told to leave the stage, he was later invited back for the live shows under Nick Grimshaw's mentorship, finishing seventh and joining the tour.

In a recent interview with the Birmingham Mail, Noise said he is a “different person” now, having undergone a “spiritual realisation” through counselling, meditation, and yoga. His appearance has also changed dramatically; he now sports a longer beard with a grey chin stripe, a nose piercing, and often wears a bandanna or bucket hat.

Noise's new direction may have been influenced by a health scare in 2019 when he contracted sepsis after being bitten during a bar fight. He required two operations and described the incident as a “classic example of wrong place, wrong time”. He now focuses on guiding others and improving their mental well-being.
