The film will continue the adventures of Bluey, a blue heeler dog, who lives with her Mum, Dad and little sister Bingo. Since its 2018 premiere, the series has become a global phenomenon, winning Emmy and BAFTA awards and becoming the most-watched series worldwide on Disney+ in 2024.

Brumm executive produces alongside Charlie Aspinwall and Daley Pearson for Ludo Studio and Justine Flynn for BBC Studios. David Greenbaum, president of Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios, will oversee the film for Disney. BBC Studios is financing and licensing the film, with theatrical distribution through Walt Disney Studios.
