Japanese Human Washing Machine: A Dream for Those Who Hate Bathing
Japanese Human Washing Machine: A Dream for Lazy Bathers

Models unveiled the Mirai human washing machine at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, a capsule that washes a person using microbubbles in 15 minutes without any effort. Priced at JPY 60 million (£280,000), it is now on display in Tokyo electronics shops.

Emma Beddington, a Guardian columnist, describes the machine as a hi-tech car wash for humans, ideal for those who find daily grooming exhausting. She notes that the device could be improved by adding teeth brushing, skincare, and LED mask features.

A YouTuber, Joey "The Anime Man" Bizinger, tested the machine and reported that the temperature was perfect and it felt good, though he emerged still wet. Beddington suggests upgrades to make it truly revolutionary.
