Meghan Markle's Netflix Show 'With Love, Meghan' Axed After Negative Reviews
Meghan Markle's Netflix series reportedly axed

The Duchess of Sussex's foray into lifestyle television faces an uncertain future, with reports suggesting her Netflix series With Love, Meghan will not be renewed for a third season. The show, which launched in March 2025, has reportedly been axed following a torrent of negative reviews and lacklustre viewing figures.

Series Future in Jeopardy After Critical Panning

A source close to the matter told Page Six that the programme is "not returning as a series." While there have been preliminary discussions about potential holiday specials, the insider confirmed that "there's nothing in the works yet." The show's first season debuted in March 2025, with a second season following in August of the same year. A holiday special aired in December 2025, rounding out the three instalments available on the streaming platform.

Despite finding a dedicated audience among Meghan's most loyal supporters, the series routinely failed to attract strong overall viewing numbers. Its performance was further marred by scathing critiques from major publications. The Telegraph awarded the second season just two stars, describing it as "marginally less mad but more needy" than the first and labelling Meghan a "Montecito Marie Antoinette."

Critics Dismiss Show as "Gormless" and "Insufferable"

The critical reception was overwhelmingly negative. The Guardian also gave the series two stars, dismissing it as "gormless lifestyle filler" and questioning if "Meghan’s impulse to sprinkle flowers over everything is a choice or a compulsion." The review concluded that the show was "so painfully contrived that it’s genuinely fascinating" yet ultimately "boring and at times, pretty insufferable."

The programme featured the Duchess sharing tips on cooking, crafting, and entertaining with a roster of celebrity friends and experts. However, the source indicated that Meghan will now channel similar content into her As Ever lifestyle brand in a "more bite-sized" format via her social media channels.

Sussexes' Evolving Netflix Partnership

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been partnered with Netflix since they stepped down as senior working royals in 2020. Their initial lucrative deal produced the revealing documentary series that chronicled their exit from the Royal Family. In 2025, the couple signed a new agreement, shifting to a 'first-look' deal. This arrangement grants Netflix the first option on any of the Sussexes' project ideas, but allows the couple to shop rejected concepts elsewhere.

This change was viewed by many industry commentators as a downgrade, reflecting the mixed success of their previous Netflix offerings. During the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit in October 2025, Meghan provided a positive spin on the new deal, stating it offered "flexibility" and expressing gratitude for the "creative partnership" with Netflix, which also collaborates on her As Ever brand.

Neither Netflix nor representatives for the Duchess of Sussex have officially commented on the future of With Love, Meghan. The Duchess herself has not publicly addressed the show since the holiday episode aired. It is understood that while she enjoyed the creative process, she found the production extremely time-consuming, once remarking on the significant amount of "work" required.
