Prue Leith Stuns At London Fashion Week In Red Dress

Prue Leith made her London catwalk debut at fashion week, wearing a striking red dress for Vin + Omi. The 84-year-old chef and television personality joined an eclectic lineup that included Romeo Beckham, who also walked for H&M, and Jerry Hall, who starred in a short play by Laura Waldren for jewellery brand Completedworks.

The weekend's headline shows were all led by female designers, including Simone Rocha, Emilia Wickstead, Roksanda Ilinčić, and Edeline Lee. Roksanda celebrated 20 years in fashion with a collection inspired by sculptor Barbara Hepworth, featuring cocoon coats and dramatic leather fringing. Wickstead drew on Robert Mapplethorpe's portraits for her edgier designs, while Rocha continued to twist feminine tropes with bows, pearls, and lace.

London fashion week's emphasis on female creativity and leadership sets it apart from Milan and Paris, which are dominated by male creative directors. The event also saw front-row appearances from England footballer Lucy Bronze and performance artist Marina Abramović.
