Lily James offered a rare glimpse of her tattoos as she stepped onto the red carpet in a daring cut-out black gown at a Disney event on Monday evening. The 36-year-old actress looked stunning in the revealing ensemble, which featured a halterneck crop top and a matching low-rise skirt, showcasing her toned midriff.
Tattoos on Display
As she turned to reveal the back of her cut-out, backless outfit, Lily displayed her small back tattoos: a number nine on her shoulder and a dandelion on the back of her arm. The meaning of the tattoos and when she got them remain unknown, but photos from as early as June 2025 indicate that the number nine has been there for some time.
Complete Look
To finish her outfit, the Cinderella actress wore towering black heels and accessorised with silver drop earrings. She styled her long locks in waves and flashed a smile as she posed at The Walt Disney Company's Emmy Season Toast To TV bash held at Soho House Holloway.
Love Life Updates
Lily's appearance comes after The Mail on Sunday reported that she may have found love with stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton, following his father's comments on their new romance. Earlier, in September, Lily was seen growing close to her Swiped co-star Pierson Fode during a stroll in New York.
The Pam & Tommy star was previously linked to musician Michael Shuman in late 2023, though they split in February 2023 before being seen together at Glastonbury later that year. Their relationship was first revealed in February 2021 when they were spotted kissing outside a boutique hotel in England while she was filming What's Love Got To Do With It?. A year later, they confirmed their romance by attending the Oscars together in Hollywood.
Before that, Lily dated The Crown actor Matt Smith from 2014 to 2019, whom she met while filming Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. In a 2022 interview with Collider, she spoke about romance, saying: 'Yeah, I think that we're sort of encouraged by society to, you know, this lightning bolt moment where you're gonna meet the man of your dreams, or woman of your dreams, or whoever of your dreams... And it's gonna be, that's it, you're settled, and you're done for life. Happily ever after, dot, dot, dot - and that's just not the case.' She praised her film for exploring a more gentle, ordinary way of meeting someone where love can blossom from friendship.
