Brooklyn Beckham Deliberately Avoids Father and Brother in Los Angeles
Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly spurned a potential reunion with his estranged father David and brother Romeo during their overlapping visits to Los Angeles this week. The 27-year-old photographer and his wife Nicola Peltz have maintained a low profile while other family members are in town, highlighting the ongoing rift within the famous Beckham clan.
Close Proximity But No Contact
On Monday, Brooklyn came within hours of bumping into his father David at the luxurious five-star Beverly Hills Hotel. David Beckham had checked into the hotel late Sunday night ahead of a commercial shoot for Lays chips in Santa Monica on Monday morning. In what observers described as a twist of fate, Brooklyn arrived at the same hotel that afternoon for breakfast and a relaxed day by the pool, having previously attended Sir Elton John's legendary Oscars watch party with his wife Nicola on Sunday evening.
David Beckham would later return to the world-famous Polo Lounge restaurant at the Beverly Hills Hotel at 6pm with two male friends, including David Gardner, who once shared a close relationship with Brooklyn. Despite these near-miss encounters, no contact occurred between father and son.
Brother Romeo Also Snubbed
Meanwhile, Brooklyn's younger brother Romeo Beckham, 23, is currently working on business projects in Los Angeles after joining their father and friends on a ski trip to British Columbia, Canada, over the weekend. Romeo was seen visiting Malibu-born designer Justin Saul at his downtown LA office on Tuesday as part of a collaboration. However, Brooklyn has made no effort to connect with his brother during this time.
A source close to the situation told the Daily Mail: 'There is absolutely no contact between Brooklyn and his parents and there hasn't been for some time. It is desperately sad but that is how Brooklyn has chosen to live his life with Nicola. They didn't see one another, and if fate had intervened and they did come face to face it would have been very awkward.'
Brooklyn's Deliberate Distance
Brooklyn has remained secluded at his luxurious $16 million villa in Beverly Hills' ultra-exclusive Trousdale Estates since his family arrived in Los Angeles. The source added: 'Brooklyn has made it very clear he doesn't want anything to do with David or Victoria, so it probably saved a whole lot of upset for David.'
This latest snub follows Brooklyn's ostentatious ignoring of UK Mother's Day in March, when instead of acknowledging his mother Victoria, he posted a social media tribute to his mother-in-law Claudia Peltz, whose birthday coincided with the British holiday.
Nicola Peltz Maintains Normal Routine
While Brooklyn has kept out of sight, his wife Nicola Peltz, 31, appeared unconcerned about the family dynamics. The actress, daughter of Florida billionaire Nelson Peltz, was spotted heading to a meeting in Hollywood on Tuesday morning, dressed in black leggings, platform boots, and a fashionable bomber jacket. She showed no indication of being aware that members of the Beckham family were in town.
Background of the Family Feud
The tensions between Brooklyn and his parents have been building for over a year. The conflict became public when Brooklyn and Nicola failed to attend any of David's lavish 50th birthday celebrations last May. During the summer, lawyers representing the Peltz-Beckhams contacted the Beckham family to demand that all communication occur through legal channels and requested that the Beckhams stop mentioning the couple on their social media accounts.
In November, the couple was conspicuously absent when the Beckham family gathered at Windsor Castle to see David receive his knighthood from King Charles. Shortly before Christmas, Brooklyn blocked his parents on social media platforms.
Brooklyn's Public Accusations
In January, Brooklyn escalated the conflict by releasing a six-page letter via his Instagram account that detailed his reasons for the estrangement in brutal fashion. The 27-year-old accused his fashion designer mother Victoria of dancing 'inappropriately' with him at his 2022 wedding and attempting to separate him from Nicola, allegations she has denied. He also claimed his parents had controlled him throughout his life and expressed no desire for reconciliation with his family.
The ongoing family drama continues to unfold as the Beckhams navigate their complicated relationships in the public eye, with Brooklyn maintaining his distance despite geographical proximity to his father and brother in Los Angeles.
