Love Island USA Star Huda Mustafa Faces Restraining Order Amid Break-In Allegations
Reality television star Huda Mustafa, known for her appearance on Love Island USA, has been hit with a temporary restraining order following accusations from her partner's ex-girlfriend, Nicole Olivera. Olivera, who shares a one-year-old son named Luka-Kai with Mustafa's current boyfriend, Louis Russell, claimed in court documents that Mustafa forcibly entered her Los Angeles apartment last month.
Allegations and Denials in High-Profile Dispute
According to legal filings obtained by the Daily Mail, Olivera described Mustafa as "mentally unstable" and alleged that the 25-year-old star broke into her home on February 20. Olivera further asserted that Mustafa made "terrifying and extremely mentally unstable threats" against herself, her daughter, and Luka-Kai, including claims of self-harm and suicide.
However, Mustafa has vehemently denied these allegations through her Instagram account. In a recent post featuring a photo of a punching bag, she wrote, "I'm aware of what's being said and it's not true. I'm handling everything the right way by letting legal take care of it." A source close to Mustafa also refuted the claims, telling the Daily Mail that she was simply flying to Los Angeles from North Carolina to visit her boyfriend and had no contact with Olivera.
Legal Restrictions and Insider Claims
A judge has since approved a temporary restraining order, barring Mustafa from coming within 100 yards of Olivera, her son Luka-Kai, or their residence. The insider emphasized that Mustafa has "never been in contact with Nicole, nor has she ever threatened her or her child." Instead, the source suggested that Olivera's actions stem from envy over Mustafa's relationship with Russell, alleging that Olivera has prevented Mustafa from meeting the child.
The court documents reveal additional details from Olivera's account, stating that Mustafa took an Uber to her home on February 21 and allegedly broke in while Olivera, Russell, and their son were present. Olivera also claimed to have received "alarming" messages from Mustafa prior to the incident, though she expressed a desire for privacy and safety rather than drama or apologies.
Background on the Relationship and Parental Disputes
Mustafa and Russell, a star from Too Hot to Handle, publicly debuted their romance in August of last year at the Los Angeles premiere of the film Weapons. Their relationship began shortly after Mustafa returned from filming the Love Island USA season seven finale in Fiji, where she was initially linked to contestant Jeremiah Brown.
Amid the restraining order controversy, Russell is reportedly seeking to establish paternity for his son and request joint custody through court proceedings. The insider defended both Mustafa and Russell as "devoted, attentive parents who consistently prioritize their children above all else," dismissing allegations that Mustafa threatened her own five-year-old daughter, Arleigh, as "ridiculous" and "entirely false."
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Mustafa, Russell, and Olivera for further comment, but no additional statements have been released at this time.
