Ayşegül Eraslan, a prominent Turkish fashion influencer and designer, was discovered deceased inside her residence in the Kağıthane district of Istanbul, Turkey, on Friday. The 27-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel following a police review.

Discovery and Initial Investigation

According to reports from Turkish outlets Sözcü and Cumhuriyet, Eraslan was found by first responders after her relatives raised the alarm. Concerned family members had traveled to her home when she failed to answer her phone and subsequently did not respond to knocks at her door. Following the discovery, a public prosecutor examined the crime scene, and Eraslan's body was transported to a forensic medicine investigator for further examination.

Information from the Kağıthane Public Security Bureau indicated that Eraslan had returned home on March 11 with a suitcase following a visit to Egypt, as reported by Sözcü. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death is ongoing.

Security Footage and Actor's Involvement

Sözcü further reported that security footage reviewed by law enforcement officials showed Turkish actor Sunay Kurtuluș entering Eraslan's home approximately one hour before her estimated time of death. The actor stayed for a brief period before departing the premises.

Kurtuluș was subsequently questioned by authorities and released after providing a statement, according to Cumhuriyet. His legal team issued a statement on Instagram on Sunday, clarifying that the actor was "only questioned as part of the investigation and has provided the necessary statements to the relevant authorities from the very beginning of the process."

The statement emphasized that Kurtuluș was "not at the scene of the incident at the time it occurred" and expressed deep sadness over Eraslan's passing, offering condolences to her family and loved ones. The Daily Mail has reached out to Istanbul police and Kurtuluș's lawyer for additional comment.
