Celebs Go Dating Set for Dramatic Throuple Twist in Major Format Overhaul
Channel 4's long-running reality programme Celebs Go Dating is poised to unveil one of its most significant format changes to date, with reports indicating that participants in the upcoming series will be given the opportunity to form throuples. This development marks a bold departure for the show, which first debuted on E4 a decade ago, and is designed to inject fresh excitement into its fifteenth season.
Unprecedented Format Change Revealed
According to sources speaking to The Sun, the famous faces taking part this year will all have the chance to establish a throuple, a romantic arrangement involving three people. A source close to the production revealed, "The man and woman are very much up for forming a throuple and they don't seem to mind whether it's with another man or another woman."
The insider added, "In fact they seem very relaxed about the prospect of some kind of romance with any of the celebs present. Though it might not be an option the celebrities are expecting, they are expected to be open minded when they approach the process." At least one participant has already shown interest in forming a ménage à trois, though their identity and how this unfolds remain closely guarded secrets.
Star-Studded Line-Up Announced for Series 15
The roster of celebrities for the new series was announced in January, featuring a diverse mix of personalities from various entertainment backgrounds. Participants include rapper Professor Green, Loose Women panellist Coleen Nolan, former rugby star James Haskell, Celebrity Big Brother champion David Potts, ex-Love Island contestant Gabby Allen, and Married At First Sight Australia cast member Lucinda Light.
Fans will also be delighted to see the return of Tom Read Wilson, who gained popularity after finishing second in the 2025 series of I'm A Celebrity, and the familiar voice of comedian Rob Beckett as narrator. The expert team will be led by therapist Anna Williamson, dating and relationship specialist Paul C Brunson, and sexual communication expert Dr. Tara Suwinyattichaiporn.
Experts and Participants Embrace the New Dynamic
Viewers are particularly eager to hear Dr. Tara's insights on the potential throuples, given her open-minded stance on non-traditional relationships. Paul C Brunson has already hinted at the series' focus, stating, "What's beautiful is that we have a lot of cast members who are specifically coming for the coaching, for the counselling, for therapy."
David Potts, who last appeared on the show nearly eight years ago, expressed his enthusiasm about returning, saying, "I am so excited to be rejoining the agency again 8 years later. I feel like I've grown a lot as a person and I'm so excited to go into it all guns a blazin'. Agents, it's time to find me a husband."
Anticipation Builds for Series Premiere
While Channel 4 has yet to comment officially on the format changes, and a release date for Series 15 remains unannounced, fans can catch up on previous seasons via the broadcaster's online streaming service. This shake-up represents the most dramatic evolution in the show's history, promising to redefine celebrity dating dynamics on British television.
