King Charles Pressed to Meet Epstein Survivors on US Trip by Congressman
Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna has publicly urged King Charles to arrange a private meeting with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein during the monarch's upcoming visit to the United States. In a statement, Mr Khanna emphasised that the King should directly hear from the victims about how powerful individuals and institutions failed them, stressing that this issue transcends national boundaries and is not solely an American concern.
Congressional Calls for Accountability
The Congressman highlighted that members of the US Congress have previously sought testimony from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor regarding his connections to Epstein. Andrew, who was stripped of his royal titles, has consistently denied any wrongdoing, despite facing accusations and reaching an out-of-court settlement with Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein's accusers.
Palace Response and Royal Schedule
Buckingham Palace has previously stated that King Charles's sympathies lie with all victims of abuse, as he and Queen Camilla prepare for a potential visit to the US in late April. The Palace has not yet commented on the specific request for a meeting with Epstein survivors, but sources indicate the royal itinerary is still being finalised.
This development comes amid ongoing scrutiny of elite figures linked to Epstein, with Mr Khanna arguing that such a meeting would demonstrate the monarchy's commitment to addressing systemic failures and supporting survivors globally. The Congressman's appeal underscores the lasting impact of the Epstein case, which continues to resonate in both political and royal circles.
