The Duchess of Sussex has released new videos of her children, Archie and Lilibet, enjoying Easter festivities at their family home. Meghan Markle shared the clips on her Instagram account, offering a glimpse into the Sussexes' private celebrations.
Easter Celebrations at Home
In one charming video, Lilibet is seen walking through a garden wearing bunny ears and carrying a plush rabbit toy. Another clip shows Archie carefully decorating Easter eggs with colourful designs. Additional footage captures the duchess herself hunting for eggs in a chicken coop, accompanied by the simple caption: "Happy Easter!"
Royal Easter Service Attendance
Meanwhile in England, the Prince and Princess of Wales made their first public appearance at the traditional Easter service since Kate's cancer diagnosis was announced. William and Kate joined senior members of the royal family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, for the Easter Matins service at St George's Chapel within Windsor Castle.
The Wales family arrived as a complete unit, with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis accompanying their parents. William waved to the substantial crowd gathered outside the castle as the family led a procession toward the chapel entrance.
Upcoming Australian Visit
Meghan's Easter social media post precedes the couple's planned trip to Australia later this month. A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan confirmed: "Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will visit Australia to take part in a number of private, business and philanthropic engagements."
During their Australian visit, Meghan will be the featured attraction at a women-only event in Sydney, while Harry is scheduled to address a mental health conference in Melbourne. It is understood that Archie and Lilibet will not accompany their parents on this international journey.
Previous Royal Tour Connection
The Sussexes previously carried out an official royal tour to Australia in 2018, just five months after their wedding. That visit gained additional significance when Meghan's pregnancy with Prince Archie was announced shortly after their arrival in the country.
The Easter celebrations thus highlight both the private family moments of the Sussexes and the continuing public duties of the wider royal family during the holiday period.
