Abbey Clancy Revives Noughties Fashion with Juicy Couture

Abbey Clancy, the 40-year-old model and wife of former footballer Peter Crouch, has revived early-2000s fashion nostalgia by starring in a new campaign for Juicy Couture. The brand, famous for its velour tracksuits that defined celebrity style two decades ago, is experiencing a resurgence with Clancy as its face.

In anticipation of this summer's World Cup, Clancy posed for a daring photoshoot on a football pitch to promote 'The WAG collection'. One striking image shows her topless, wearing only Juicy Couture hotpants and a black thong. Another photo features her in low-rise denim shorts, teasing a white thong. She also modelled shorts emblazoned with the cheeky 'Juicy' logo on the back, paired with white socks, heels, and a baseball cap.

The campaign was photographed by Karis Kennedy and shared on Clancy's Instagram with the caption: 'J'adore @juicycoutureuk'. The mother of four has been a lifelong fan of the brand and previously discussed its renewed popularity on her podcast. She noted that Hollywood actress Zendaya wearing a pink zip-up hoodie in the 2024 film 'Challengers' sparked a trend. Clancy commented, 'The girl in the tennis movie [Zendaya] wore a Juicy tracksuit. I just bought some the other day. I had a black and grey velour tie-dye one, I loved it.'

Beyond fashion, Clancy recently opened up about curbing her drinking habits and adopting a healthier lifestyle. She admitted to 'overdoing the wine' during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Now, she starts her day at 6:30 am with coffee while her children eat croissants, describing the morning rush as 'hectic' as she ensures they get to school on time. She told the Sunday Times magazine: 'Once all four kids are at school my day can begin. I might overindulge on holiday and consume a lot of wine but then I'll be on a health kick, so I go to the gym every day.'

Clancy also spends an hour practicing dressage with her horse Enzo, and records the podcast 'The Therapy Crouch' with Peter once a week. Her lunch often consists of chicken sandwiches from the deli, and she meets friends for a 'girly lunch of pasta and a bellini or two' weekly. Dinner is always cooked by her, featuring dishes like dauphinoise potatoes with steak, mushrooms, and green beans. If she is too tired or out, Peter either orders a takeaway or makes his signature 'Daddy's omelette', stuffed with whatever is in the fridge.
