Salma Hayek Stuns at Cannes with Grey Hair and Gown

Salma Hayek was the epitome of glamour as she attended the Kering Women In Motion Awards at the 79th Cannes Film Festival in France on Sunday night. The age-defying actress, 59, looked stunning in a white feathered gown and embraced her natural grey hair, which was swept up in an elegant high bun. Her sophisticated silver locks framed her face, as she joins the ranks of Andie McDowell and Helen Mirren in normalising grey hair among celebrities.

Salma attended the event to support her billionaire husband, François-Henri Pinault, 64, CEO and chairman of luxury fashion conglomerate Kering, which owns brands like Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, and Alexander McQueen. The couple displayed affection on the black carpet, with Salma planting a kiss on François-Henri's cheek as he beamed in a black suit and bow tie. The pair married in 2009 in Venice and share a daughter, Valentina, 18.

The 2026 Kering Women In Motion Award was presented to Academy Award-winning actress Julianne Moore, honouring women's contributions to the film industry both in front of and behind the camera. Italian filmmaker Margherita Spampinato received the Emerging Talent Award. At this year's Cannes Film Festival, Demi Moore joins the jury alongside Hamnet director Chloé Zhao and actor Stellan Skarsgård.

Organisers revealed the nine-member jury that will deliberate on competing films. South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook serves as jury president, joined by Moore, Zhao, Skarsgård, Irish-Ethiopian actor Ruth Negga, Belgian director Laura Wandel, Chilean director Diego Céspedes, Ivorian American actor Isaach De Bankolé, and Scottish screenwriter Paul Laverty.

Speaking at the opening press conference, Demi Moore expressed her honour, saying, 'It's a beautiful experience to be surrounded by cinema and the love of cinema. I feel like a little kid getting to play a grown-up.' She noted that she had only attended Cannes once before as a plus one. This year, filmmaker Peter Jackson will receive an honorary Palme d'Or for his body of work blending Hollywood blockbusters with artistic vision and technological audacity. The festival runs from May 12 to 23.
