Viewers have criticised the new ITV show Destination X, branding it confusing and hard to follow. The programme, which sees 13 contestants travel across Europe in a bus with blacked-out windows, has been accused of being overly complex and lacking clarity.
Host Rob Brydon, known for his work on Would I Lie to You? and The Trip, guides the contestants as they attempt to deduce their location. At the end of each episode, players must place an X on a map, with the person furthest from the actual location being eliminated. The winner receives £100,000.
However, many viewers took to social media to express frustration with the format. One user wrote: 'I have no idea what's going on in Destination X. It's all over the place.' Another said: 'The concept is interesting but the execution is a mess. Too many red herrings and not enough clarity.'
The show airs two episodes per week on BBC One and iPlayer, with the first episode launching on Wednesday 30 July at 9pm. Despite the criticism, some viewers have praised the show's ambition and the challenges that offer clues to the contestants' whereabouts.
