EastEnders schedule changes: No episode tonight, guide

The BBC has announced last-minute schedule changes for EastEnders this week, with no episodes airing tonight (June 30) and Friday, July 3, due to World Cup coverage and Wimbledon on BBC One. However, fans will still receive four episodes, all shifted to BBC Two.

BBC One is airing the World Cup last-32 match between Ivory Coast and Norway tonight, while BBC Two has Wimbledon coverage in the soap’s regular slot. As a result, EastEnders has moved to BBC Two for the entire week, with no episodes on June 30 and July 3.

What happened in the latest episodes?

During Monday’s (June 29) episodes, the Fox-Truemans unite as Libby and Chelsea resolve to send Sheila Atkins packing. Meanwhile, at the Mitchell household, Bea Pollard returns to live with Billy and Honey, though this forms part of Will's strategy to collect evidence against her. However, there is every possibility that their scheme could prove counterproductive, as Bea has a firm grip on Honey.

Max Branning and Cindy Beale storyline

One of the most significant plotlines currently unfolding is Max Branning's engagement to Cindy Beale, and a flashforward has revealed that he is destined to wed a mysterious bride. Max and Linda Carter have also been battling an undeniable mutual attraction, yet according to Jake Wood, his character ought not to end up with either Cindy or Linda.

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One and iPlayer, though this week's episodes are on BBC Two.
