Emmerdale: Caleb's Counterfeit Shoe Scheme Takes Dark Turn

Caleb Miligan (William Ash) has embarked on a risky new scheme in Emmerdale, deciding to sell counterfeit shoes to restore his criminal edge after being scammed by Jai Sharma's teenage son Archie. His partner in crime is Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton), who helps him sort deliveries in upcoming episodes.

Disturbing Discovery

As Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) watches from the break area, Caleb and Kerry find a label sewn into one of the shoes that reads 'help me'. Horrified, Kerry urges Caleb to go to the police. Later, Kerry finds Bear examining the shoe, and his furious reaction to Caleb's inaction reminds him of his own past as a slave on a farm. Bear confronts Caleb about the moral implications.

Police Involvement and New Plans

Caleb tells Kerry he has contacted the police, but then becomes intrigued by Kammy Hadiq's (Shebz Miah) information about the markup on branded versus non-branded car parts. Caleb suggests they could make money selling car parts, but Kerry is sceptical, given the problems with the counterfeit shoes.

Star Laura Norton commented: 'She's had a taste for it now, and she's quite good at it. She knows how to impress somebody of Caleb's stature. Will and I have really enjoyed working together and we've said that we need to find another opportunity for a story like this again.'
