Lewis Capaldi has announced that his opening night at London's BST Hyde Park on Saturday, July 11, will be streamed live worldwide on YouTube, allowing fans to watch the historic performance for free.
Two-Night Run at Hyde Park
The Scottish singer is set to headline two nights at Hyde Park this week, performing on Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, to a combined audience of 130,000 over the weekend. The Saturday show marks the biggest headline performance of Capaldi's career.
The livestream, titled "Lewis Capaldi: Live at American Express presents BST Hyde Park," will begin at 8:45 PM BST and is accessible globally with no paywall. Fans can set a reminder via the notification button on YouTube.
Historic Broadcast
This is one of the few occasions a Hyde Park concert has been broadcast live globally, joining rare events like Live 8 in 2005 and Paul McCartney's 2010 performance. The stream will feature an ambitious 26-camera setup and drone cinematography to capture the scale and atmosphere.
Before the concert, an exclusive ten-minute short film created by creative director Rory Dewar will air. After the show, the full performance will remain permanently available on YouTube.
Industry Reaction
Jim King of AEG Presents said: "BST Hyde Park has welcomed some of the world's biggest artists over the years, so we're incredibly excited that Lewis Capaldi will make history as the first artist to livestream their full performance from the festival. It's a landmark moment for BST and a fantastic opportunity for millions of fans to be part of the experience, wherever they are in the world."
Capaldi's Comeback
Capaldi's Hyde Park shows follow a series of festival headliners this summer, including the Isle of Wight Festival and Glasgow Green's TRNSMT. He made his official music comeback in June 2025 with a surprise performance on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival after a two-year hiatus for his mental health.
