Prime Video has released the first trailer for The Greatest, the first authorized scripted series about the life of boxing legend and activist Muhammad Ali. The eight-part series stars Jaalen Best as Ali (formerly Cassius Clay) and Omari Hardwick as his father, Cassius Marcellus Clay Sr.
Trailer and Premiere Date
The trailer, shared by Hardwick on Instagram, shows Best as a young Ali delivering self-affirmations in front of a mirror. The series is set to premiere on Prime Video on November 4. Hardwick captioned the post: "Before there was Ali, there was Clay. Here’s the first teaser for THE GREATEST, a new original series coming to Prime November 4."
Executive Producers and Cast
The series is executive produced by Ali's widow, Lonnie Ali, and Oscar winner Michael B. Jordan. The cast also includes Dana Gourrier, Amin Joseph, Kai Parham, and Michael Ealy. The series will cover Ali's life from childhood through his boxing career, including his civil rights activism and friendship with Malcolm X.
