The latest episode of the hit Disney+ series Rivals has raised the temperature once again, featuring two secret romantic encounters and a naked swim by actor Aiden Turner. The second season continues to deliver the same level of steaminess as the first, which previously included a montage of intimate moments and a revealing scene from Danny Dyer.
Episode Five Highlights
Episode five, released on the streaming platform today, begins with Turner's character Declan O'Hara swimming naked in a loch. The scene, reminiscent of a Bond film, shows him emerging from the water, displaying the chiseled physique familiar to fans of the BBC period drama Poldark. A wider shot captures the actor baring his backside before he quickly pulls on his trousers.
Meanwhile, Declan's estranged wife Maud grows increasingly intimate with show antagonist Tony Baddingham, played by David Tennant. In one steamy scene, Tony arrives uninvited at Maud's house while her children are away. After inviting himself in, the pair waste no time and engage in a passionate encounter on her grand piano.
The action continues as Maud later visits Tony at his workplace. They lock lips before he presses her against the internal glass windows. The blinds fail to hide their antics from Tony's stunned assistant, who quickly makes a hasty exit. Tony then steers Maud toward his desk and begins loosening his trousers, but she takes control, ordering him to slow down before pushing him into his chair and taking charge.
Previous Steamy Moments
Last week, viewers watched Danny Dyer's character Freddie get steamy with Lizzie, played by Katherine Parkinson, in his pool. Despite both being married, the pair surrender to their secret desires once more during episode four, having previously shared a passionate encounter in series one.
Opening up about his full-frontal scene, Dyer, 48, revealed his daughters were desperate to avoid watching, joking: 'Well, my daughters are very much going, 'Dad, I need time codes.'' In an earlier interview with Radio Times, he also said: 'Nobody's under pressure to be naked if they don't want to, but if a woman's getting her breasts out, why shouldn't I get it all out?' He then cheekily added: 'I've got breasts as well, to be fair!'
Danny Dyer's New Skills
Danny Dyer also opened up about learning new skills for the series. Last time, he found learning Japanese challenging, but this time he has had to learn to play polo and speak French, in addition to more Japanese. 'I can now actually ride a horse - I've been lying about it for many years, and now I actually can,' he said. 'Freddie speaks five different languages - Dutch, Italian - we haven't delved into all of them yet. He's so humble.'
The second series of Rivals is available to stream on Disney+.
