The series, which premiered in 2025, quickly became a fan favorite on Canadian broadcaster CBC and secured a second season. In April, the first season debuted in the UK on U&Alibi. The show follows Deputy Chief Genevieve 'Arch' Archambault, played by Jobert, and Donny 'Fitz' Fitzpatrick, portrayed by Allan Hawco, as they uncover a sinister criminal underworld in the picturesque French territory of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon off Canada's coast.

On Tuesday, May 27, Deadline confirmed the renewal, with filming scheduled to start in July across Newfoundland and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon. Co-creator Robina Lord-Stafford and star Allan Hawco expressed gratitude to CBC, Fifth Season, and global fans, stating: 'Returning to Newfoundland and Saint-Pierre et Miquelon for Season 3 is especially exciting, as these locations are such an important part of the show's identity.'
