Stephen Webb Regrets Only His Outfits on Celebs Go Dating

Gogglebox star Stephen Webb has opened up about his time on Celebs Go Dating, admitting that his only regret from the show involves his wardrobe choices.

Stephen Webb's Celebs Go Dating Reflection

The television personality, who appeared on the E4 dating programme in 2024, endured several uninspiring dates before striking up chemistry with David from Guernsey. The pair departed the series together, though their romance fizzled out mere weeks after going public.

Despite not discovering "The One" on the Channel 4 programme, there is just one aspect of his journey he would alter.

"I regret some of the outfits," he admitted to Heart Bingo Online. "There was this sort of like schoolboy at the bottom, granddad at the top kind of combo that I didn't really pull it off. Some of the outfits were a bit dodgy."

The Gogglebox favourite continued: "I regret those, but I don't regret going on Celebs Go Dating."

A Learning Curve Through Vulnerability

Webb explained that the show came at a difficult time in his life. "It definitely was a learning curve because I'd gone into that, I'd just recently split up with my husband, long-term relationship, marriage, I lost my mum and dad, so I was in a fairly vulnerable state, and I think going part of that show, meeting new people and getting the advice from Paul [C Brunson] and Anna [Williamson] and Tara [Suwinyattichaiporn], it helped."

He added: "I think it was all part of that. I look back fondly on it because it involves some of the saddest moments in my life as well that I was dealing with when I went on that show. But we're through the other end, and no, I don't regret any of it! I got paid a lot of money for it too!"

Previous Marriage and New Series

Stephen was previously wed to fellow TV sofa critic Daniel Lustig for six years, with their relationship spanning 12 years in total. Following their separation, he turned to Celebs Go Dating in his quest to find romance.

The current series of the dating programme is broadcasting on E4, featuring seven fresh famous faces entrusting their romantic futures to the show's specialists. Taking part in this year's line-up are rugby legend James Haskell, Married At First Sight's Lucinda Light, Loose Women panellist Coleen Nolan, Love Island's Gabby Allen, rapper Professor Green, social media star PK Humble and telly favourite David Potts.

The trusted trio of dating experts Paul C. Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr. Tara Suwinyattichaiporn are back once more to dish out their candid guidance.

Celebs Go Dating continues on E4 tonight at 9pm.
