Former Traitors contestant Amanda Lovett has stunned fans with a festive photo that reveals a remarkable physical transformation, showcasing both significant weight loss and the results of a £7,600 cosmetic procedure.
A Festive Transformation Revealed
The 57-year-old TV personality, who won over the nation as the 'loveliest yet most fierce competitor' on the hit BBC show, shared the new image on Instagram this Monday. Beaming in front of her Christmas tree, Amanda looked almost unrecognisable from her time on screen, wearing a green dress that highlighted her incredible figure.
This new look is the culmination of dedicated effort and a decisive surgical choice. Prior to opting for surgery, Amanda had invested heavily in non-surgical treatments like facial threading, spending between £500 to £650 per session. However, she found the lifting effects were only temporary, with her face beginning to droop again within months.
The Journey to a Surgical Solution
"I noticed my face and neck were just getting saggier and saggier," Amanda explained to her followers. She recounted how she began considering hiding the area with scarves before deciding to seek a more permanent solution. "I thought, why should I do that when there is help out there that can sort this issue out and take the years back a bit?"
This led her to undergo a neck and lower facelift, a procedure costing £7,600 that took four to five hours to complete. Amanda was awake under local anaesthetic and described the sensation as "a lot of tugging, pulling and tugging," but found it comfortable enough to doze off. The recovery took three to four weeks for the swelling to subside and three months to fully heal, but she was socialising with friends after just three weeks.
Looking Ahead to More Traitors Drama
Amanda's revelation comes as fans eagerly await the return of the show that made her famous. The BBC has confirmed that The Traitors will return for its fourth series on New Year's Day at 8pm, with a second episode following on January 2.
The new series will see 22 new contestants battle it out in the ultimate game of trust and treachery, competing for a prize pot of up to £120,000. The BBC promises more twists, turns, and deception, ensuring the high-stakes format continues to captivate audiences. Amanda, who was one of the original Traitors before being betrayed by fellow conspirator Wilfred Webster, is now enjoying her post-show transformation far from the castle's drama.
