Former Love Island contestant Liberty Poole has publicly responded to online speculation that she used the weight loss medication Ozempic to achieve her recent physical transformation.
Addressing the Rumours Head-On
The 26-year-old reality star took to TikTok on Tuesday to directly answer a comment suggesting her slimmer figure was due to the popular drug. In a candid video, Liberty stated, 'But no, I have not touched Ozempic.' She clarified her stance, adding, 'In terms of my viewpoint on that, I don't judge anyone who does it. It's all our own bodies and you're entitled to do what you want. But personally, for me, I just didn't think it was worth the health risk.'
Poole highlighted the contradictory nature of online commentary, noting that on the same video she was also asked if she was pregnant. 'So as a woman with a woman's body, you cannot win,' she remarked, before advising followers to 'just be the way that makes you happy.'
The Real Reason Behind Her Transformation
Explaining her dramatic weight loss, Liberty credited a significant lifestyle and mindset shift rather than any quick fix. She revealed that she previously avoided the gym, associating it with caring too much about appearance. However, her perspective changed in September when her mother took her to a fitness bootcamp.
'It completely altered my mindset on fitness and how I view it,' she explained. The intense regimen involved six exercise classes daily, which she said fostered a sense of 'self-accomplishment and self-love.'
Liberty emphasised that her approach is not about strict dieting or becoming a 'gym girl.' She admitted to recent indulgences like 'three Maccies' and pizza, framing her change as holistic. 'I was living out of bedrooms, I wasn't really looking after myself, I was scrolling all day, I wasn't active,' she said of her past habits. Her current philosophy focuses on how exercise makes her feel, rather than how it makes her look.
Life After a Split and New Business Focus
This personal revelation follows Liberty's split from boyfriend Joshua Raybould in August, after a year of dating. Reports suggested the pair were 'not a compatible match long-term,' with sources citing concerns he was 'using her for fame.'
Since the breakup, both have unfollowed each other on social media, and Joshua has removed photos of them together from his Instagram. Liberty has been channelling her energy into promoting her new swimwear line, Uplifted The Label.
Concluding her message on body image, Liberty Poole offered a supportive note: 'Whether you're a size 16 or an 8, it's literally all about how you feel within, and if you're happy at whatever size, that's honestly cool. So you've just got to do what's right for you.'
