Oasis Reportedly Planning 12-Night Etihad Residency

Oasis are reportedly planning a 12-night residency at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium for 2027, according to multiple sources close to the band and promoters. The shows would mark a homecoming for brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, following the record-breaking Oasis Live '25 reunion tour that launched one year ago in Cardiff.

Planned Dates and Venue

The Etihad Stadium, which resumed live music this summer after a three-year hiatus due to North Stand expansion, hosted The Weeknd and Take That in June and July 2026. Sources indicate that 12 nights could be confirmed later this summer, spanning May and June 2027. Manchester City's final home match of the 2026/27 Premier League season is on 23 May 2027 against Aston Villa, with the season ending 30 May when City travel to Sunderland.

“It will be 12 nights at the Etihad Stadium across May and June. It's just massive for Manchester and for the local economy,” a music industry insider told the Manchester Evening News. “They could even add more dates to that as well; there's talk of up to 20. The wider tour is also going to include a return to Knebworth.”

Hotel Bookings and Parklife Shift

A separate source revealed that a luxury city-centre hotel has been fully booked from late May through June to accommodate the band and their touring entourage, further suggesting dates spanning those months. Meanwhile, Manchester's Parklife festival announced a significant schedule change for 2027, moving from its traditional June weekend to 10–11 July. This sparked fan speculation that June is cleared for Oasis concerts, though the MEN understands Heaton Park is not under consideration as a venue.

Glastonbury Odds and Tour Announcement

Bookmakers Betway offer odds of 2/1 on Oasis headlining Glastonbury in 2027 as part of an anticipated world tour. The band's reunion was announced in August 2024, with the Gallaghers stating “the guns have fallen silent, the stars have aligned, the great wait is over.” The Oasis Live '25 tour triggered one of the biggest ticket sales in history.

A new Disney+ documentary film with a cinema release in autumn 2026 is expected to build anticipation. Liam Gallagher fuelled speculation on 3 July 2026 by replying to a fan on social media: “You say that now but soon as we announce the gig nxt wk I mean nxt year I mean happy Christmas you'll be running around like headless chickens trying to get a ticket so stop acting tuff.”

Some fans believe an announcement could come as early as next week, or be included in the film's end credits. The Mirror approached Oasis's spokesperson for comment.
