Meghan Markle has been told that she "needs to return to the UK," with royal expert Ingrid Seward offering a telling five-word verdict on her upcoming visit. The Duchess of Sussex is preparing to travel to Britain with Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as early as next month.
Expert Says Visit Could Boost Meghan's Brand
Speaking to New Magazine, Seward encouraged the visit, stating it could provide a crucial boost to Meghan's lifestyle brand, As Ever. "They need to come, or more accurately, Meghan needs to come. She really needs a bit of royal stardust sprinkled on her and her business if she wants it to succeed," Seward said. She added the five-word verdict: "She has to make it."
Royal Residence Offer and Security Concerns
The family is reportedly set to stay at a royal residence offered by King Charles III. It remains unclear if the couple have accepted the offer, and whether they will receive police protection during the visit. Prince Harry, 41, has previously declined offers to stay at Buckingham Palace due to security concerns.
Meghan has not visited the UK since September 2022, when she and Harry attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, now aged seven and five, have not been to the UK since June 2022. During their last visit, the children met King Charles, with the monarch meeting Lilibet for the first time.
Invictus Games Countdown Event
The exact arrival date is unknown, but the family is expected to be in the UK by July 10, as Harry is set to attend the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games that day. The visit marks a significant return for the Sussexes, who have largely remained in the US since stepping back from royal duties in 2020.
