Nicola Peltz splits from charity Victoria refused to support

Nicola Peltz has reportedly parted ways with Yogi's House, the animal foundation she co-owned and promoted on social media, after her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham allegedly refused to support the charity during the Los Angeles wildfires. The non-profit dog rescue and rehabilitation centre, founded in 2022, now lists Emma Kenney as its sole founder on its website, with no mention of the 32-year-old actress, who previously described herself as a 'founding partner.'

Nicola's name removed from Yogi's House website

Not only has Nicola's name been removed from the Yogi's House website, but she also appears to have unfollowed the foundation on social media. In a statement, a spokesperson for Nicola told the Daily Mail: 'Nicola is humbled by the work Yogi's House does to support dog welfare in California. Nicola is proud to have been a founding partner of Yogi's House, and she's currently considering other opportunities to support dog welfare in any way possible. This is her true passion in life, and she will never give up on the dogs.'

Brooklyn Beckham's bombshell statement

According to Nicola's husband, Brooklyn Beckham, Victoria's refusal of support was a key reason he and Nicola chose to go no-contact with the Beckhams. In a bombshell statement released in January, Brooklyn said: 'We've gone out of our way for years to show up and support at every fashion show, every party, and every press activity to show our perfect family. But the one time my wife asked for my mum's support to save displaced dogs during the LA fires, my mum refused.'

Brooklyn's full statement detailed a history of alleged family conflicts, including his mother cancelling Nicola's wedding dress at the eleventh hour, pressure to sign away rights to his name, and inappropriate behaviour at his wedding. He stated: 'My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first.'

GoFundMe campaign for LA fire pets

A GoFundMe page had been set up to rescue pets affected by the LA fires, sending them to safe foster homes. Brooklyn and his mother-in-law Claudia donated $5,000 (£3,787) each, while Nicola's brother Zach contributed $300 (£227.26), bringing the total to $59,444 (£45,029). However, according to Brooklyn, his mother Victoria—whose net worth is estimated at around £227.25 million of the Beckhams' £1.185 billion net worth, per The Sunday Times Rich List—did not contribute.

Previous controversies involving Nicola and dogs

Nicola, a dog lover, previously faced backlash in 2024 after a TikTok video showed her white Bolognese dog dyed pink and orange. The RSPCA criticised the practice, with Dr Samantha Gaines saying: 'Grooming is, without question, an essential part of dog ownership – but these pets should not be treated as novelty accessories. We're worried that subjecting dogs to these types of grooms and parading dogs with novelty hair-dos could encourage some owners to forget that these are intelligent, sentient animals and not gimmicks or toys.'

Earlier that year, Nicola and Brooklyn launched legal action against a dog groomer they claimed killed their chihuahua, Nala, during a routine grooming session. Nicola wrote on social media: 'I am truly still in so much shock and pain over my baby Nala suddenly passing last month following what should have been a routine grooming session.' The lawsuit was later dropped, with a lawyer for Houndspa stating that all parties concluded the death was not intentional.

Metro has approached Nicola Peltz's representatives and Yogi's House for comment.
